produced a battling display away from home against Newbridge in a tight, competitive encounter that went down to the wire. The Vale trailed at half‑time, 0‑04 to 0‑10, after the home side edged the first half through a run of unanswered points. Faughanvale's first-half scores came from Paddy O'Kane, Tiernan McFeely, Conloath McGee, and Eoin McElhinney, but Newbridge's dominance from play left the visitors with a six-point deficit at the break.

After half-time, Faughanvale showed tremendous character and slowly ate into the lead. Eoin McElhinney and Kevin Martin led the fightback, with Paddy O'Kane landing two crucial two‑pointers at vital stages. Michael Sweeney also added a quality point as the Vale grew into the contest.
